Brantwood is friendly, welcoming school with a family atmosphere, located in the attractive suburb of Nether Edge, conveniently close to the city centre. We expect high standards of behaviour and provide a calm learning environment for the girls in our care. We value individual achievement and have good pastoral care systems to support our young people. Girls are encouraged to be confident and independent, to enjoy their learning experience and develop both academic and personal skills.
A recent inspection report commented on the standard of pastoral care, which was found to be ‘very good’.
‘The pastoral, tutorial and other support and guidance systems make a very
positive and effective contribution to the educational standards and personal
growth achieved by the pupils. Pupils speak highly of the pastoral care
they receive both in the regular weekly tutorial periods and in their informal
discussions with staff’.
