Brantonians
The first Brantonians Reunion in July 2006 was a fantastic event. Girls from down the years, some from as far back as Beauchief days, revisited a school that has been updated and, in lots of instances, changed, but in others, remains much the same as when they were the schoolgirls who were taught there.
It was a day that old friendships were rekindled. Faces lit up as they recognised others they hadn’t seen for many years and memories of teachers, lessons and dinners were shared. Some of our teachers were there, not looking much different to when we were being taught by them!
We were invited to write down our memories of being at Brantwood while we had refreshments in the dining hall and then we explored the classrooms and corridors discovering new staircases, extensions and equipment along the way. “Look at this!” was an expression often heard as girls discovered things that “we didn’t have in our day”
