to Nottingham University to study medicine. He qualified in 1986 and worked
in and around Nottingham for the next four years.

Amir is passionate about good education and feel that Brantwood has a great deal to offer in a small and friendly environment.
Sue Dunk
Sue Dunk joined
the governing body in the summer of 2003, just before Mrs Swynnerton’s retirement
as headteacher.
She taught Science at Brantwood for over twenty years and it was felt that
with her intimate knowledge of the workings of the school that she could
make a valuable contribution.
Sue also serves on the Staff and Curriculum sub-committee which advises
and provides support in these matters to the Head.
She has three grown up daughters but still remembers well the anxieties that adolescent daughters can generate as well as the rewards that they bring .
In retirement her main interest (some would say passion!) has been training her beautiful dressage horse. Sue is an active member of her local riding club and chair of the Camp sub-committee. Each year she organises a summer camp for members and their mounts.
Tina Powell Wiffen
Tina
has been a governor at Brantwood for over 5 years now.
It all began when she was still running her own nursery school and she felt
that she wanted to be involved in the education of children, not just before
they started school but also as they grew up and matured into the young
people we all want them to be. Tina feels that being a governor at Brantwood
gives her just that opportunity.
She is also a Lay Reader in the Church of England and hopes to be of help,
if asked, with the spiritual side of life as well. Tina believes that being
a governor is challenging and rewarding and is honoured to serve Brantwood
in this role.
Tim Alderson
Tim has recently joined the board of Governors at Brantwood. His home town is Stockton On Tees and went to Stockton Grammar School before coming to Sheffield University 1977-80, studying Accountancy and Financial Management.

He is married to Gill and has two daughters Emmie and Phoebe who are at Brantwood. They have lived in Castleton for 18 years.
Tim's main interests when time permits are cars and driving, hill walking, music and the arts
