K’NEX CHALLENGE – 16 MAY 2007

Engineers have been making catapults for hundreds of years, but Y4, Y5 & Y6 have just one hour to make a sturdy construction that could fire a round plastic ball over a 5cm wall. They will be judged by a visiting engineer and the winning pair will hopefully make it to the next round in the Young Engineer of Britain Challenge.

This year, for the first time, younger classes are able to join in with the new Kid K’nex task to make animals. This will be just for fun but could it be the start for a budding engineer?
